MONROVIA, August 24, 2010, The National Mandingo Caucus of Liberia (NMCL) has expressed it’s thank to President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for its acknowledgement of the Musa Bility Land Commission report.
The Caucus says its shares the President’s belief that the report provides an excellent opportunity for peaceful resolution of the land dispute in Nimba County.
Meanwhile, the Caucus is urging the president to move swiftly to implement other recommendations and return those properties that are no longer contentious to their rightful owners.
At the same time, the National Mandingo Caucus Liberia says it is considering the full wisdom and legal implications of government’s intention to exercise eminent domain over contentious properties in Ganta which largely belong to ethnic Mandingo of Nimba County.
