A Tribute to the Mandingo Nations Web Site
By: Lussane Sackor
When there was nowhere for us to turn for non- biased coverage of the Mandingo community, you came to our rescue. When there was no website that carried our births, deaths, graduation, and other important announcements in a timely manner, you stood out. When other community websites were refusing to publish “uncensored” materials, the Nations took an objective approach.
When the Nations was being accused of having a hidden agenda in her genesis, she kept her focus. When other sites were pre-occupied with personal vendettas, the Nations maintained her demeanor and kept to informing her audience. When other sites are covering outdated material, we are guaranteed to find current and topical issues on the Nations site. You have stood the tribulation of time thus far; you keep steadfast in stormy weather. You are the best because you do not bow down to criticism. You stay strong when others are weak. You shine when it is dark. Bravo! Mandingo Nations, you are truly resourceful.
I truly want to commend the management and editorial staff of the Mandingo Nations website for being an alternative source to dead and boring community websites. I would like to encourage brother Kafumba Kromah to keep up the good work. Website management is not merely a passing interest, it requires time and commitment.
It is a challenge to manage any news medium, let alone an informative community web site. The Nations has proven that it can overcome those challenges. At the moment, the Mandingo Nations is no doubt the best Mandingo community resource website in the world. It is an entity that all people of Mandingo decent should take pride in.
To be honest, we all benefit from it in one way or another. I would also like to call on other community web teams to emulate the good example of brother Kromah. Mr. Kromah, you are a true son of this noble Mandingo community and I pray that the Nations continue to flourish. Let us give the man his flowers while he is still strong and productive! Long live The Mandingo Nations, Long live our community!
